Whatever your preferred social media platform, it’s impossible to scroll through more than a few posts before encountering a spam come-on addressed to “Great Author” from a “Professional Book Marketer” coaxing you to “drop your book link for great promotion so readers can find your great book and trigger great sales.” (From the text, we can surmise that they don’t possess a great thesaurus.)
I have documented my exchanges with these great con artists in posts entitled:
But enough with the negativity! New year, new me, etc… etc…
Instead of assuming that every badly written, badly spelled on-line come-on is a scam from someone who can’t even sell their fake services to me, so how could they sell my books to readers, I am going to presume positivity.
I will work with any self-proclaimed “marketing expert” - as long as they are willing for me to document every step of their process, every trick of their trade - and every subsequent result. Complete with their name, contact info, website, photo, Fiverr profile, etc…
(One “expert” who absolutely guarantees sales in the many thousands has already turned down my generous offer when I asked if I could publicize their sure to be amazing results.)
So here is the deal: If you truly believe your marketing efforts cannot fail, are you willing for me to share them with the world? I’ll meet your price. Will you meet mine?
Who is confident enough in what they’re selling to take me up on this challenge?
To paraphrase your own words: Drop your info in the comments to get started!
