A Literal Literary Loser Reveals What Happens Next

My posts usually come out in the middle of the week. But last week’s “I Expose Book Marketer & Author's Illicit Love Affair!” proved so popular (especially after it got a shout out in Writer’s Weekly), that I felt compelled to share the next episode in what’s promising to be an even juicier saga.

After accusing “book marketing expert” Siani Stuart of shacking up with “best-selling author Joe Siple,” I received an email from the real Joe Siple. The one who has an official website. With an official email address. Rather than a sketchy Facebook profile. With no friends except for me. And Siani Stuart.

Joe gave me permission to share his email. He wrote:

Alina, 

Thank you so much for sending this. Unfortunately, you're not the first. The other day, a reader sent me a link to a Facebook page where someone was pretending to be me. Seeing pictures of my books on a page where someone else claimed to write them was a surreal experience, I can tell you. 

I just spoke with a lawyer friend of mine about what I can do about this. Unfortunately, it sounds like it'll be a game of "whack-a-mole". But I wouldn't even know it was going on without people like you informing me, so I really appreciate you taking the time to do that. If you happen to run across anyone else pretending to be me, please let me know.

Being a good and responsible journalist - nah, I just wanted to see what they’d say - I forwarded the email to Siani and Joe. Siani replied first, advising: Am not threatening but what I will do for you won't like it.

Alas, I never got to find out what they would do *for* me, as, immediately afterwards, “book marketing expert Siani Stuart” blocked me and deleted their FB account. Now how will this very successful book marketing expert connect with all their very successful book writing clients? I hope it wasn’t something I said which upset them so…

“Joe,” for his part, was more chatty. Initially….

Alina Adams: When you talk to Siani, can you ask if she's started her revenge against me yet? It's going to be hard for me to follow her now so I might not know she's gotten her revenge.

Joe: How are you doing I am also unable to communicate with Siani

AA: Wow, how did that happen? Since you are the same person.

JS: What are you aiming at?

AA: Proving to the world that you are not Joe, since I already talked to Joe.

JS: I am not Sinai make that clear to yourself

AA: You are not Joe. I TALKED TO THE REAL JOE.

JS: And also I promoting Joe's books because of my Love for his books So screw it off

AA: Oh, so now you admit you are NOT Joe? You lied before?

JS: I am not dragging with anybody I only had I'd profile because I noticed something Which I won't expose to you Thanks and let end our discussion

AA: I will send you the link to my post where you admit being a liar. And the real Joe calls you out.

JS: I won't click on any link so don't bother

AA: That's OK, you will be exposed whether you click or not. And you will delete this account like you deleted the Sinai one.

JS: I am not Sinai Shut the fuck off

AA: Then explain why you both use the same computer.

JS: I am not holding any grunge's with anyone that's why I accepted your message requests

AA: Then explain why you both use the same computer.

JS: How should I know that And who is Sinai to you And how is that my concern
