Hi, it’s me. I’m the Book Bimbo. (And, yes, I love alliteration.)
As you may know (and, if you don’t know, then I’ve really been doing a bad job of telling you), my third historical fiction novel and 19th book, “Go On Pretending,” will be officially out on Thursday, May 1, 2025. (Yes, we picked that day deliberately. When better to release a work partially set in the Soviet Union than International Workers Day? Doesn’t it make you want to grab a placard and join a mandatory, voluntary parade?)
To celebrate, I will be having a festive book launch on Saturday, May 3 at 6 PM at Brooklyn’s My Biblioteka. To RSVP (with the option to pre-order a book I will sign the night of), click here. You can also pre-order the book, have me sign it the night of, and get it shipped to you. To see what My Biblioteka has to offer which isn’t (completely) about me, watch the video. below.
But, wait, there’s more!
Or, rather, I hope there will be more!
As you may have noticed, I like to talk. A lot. (And, if you haven’t noticed, then I’ve really been doing a bad job of telling you.) I don’t just want to talk once on the night of the launch and then never talk again. I want to keep talking!
Do you have a book club? A synagogue sisterhood? A school? A library? A cousins club? A Hadassah meet up? A senior citizens org? A Youtube channel? A podcast? An Instagram reel? A Tik-tok? A box on a street corner? Do you know anyone who does?
I’ve talked at all of those and more, and I’d like to keep doing it!
Please invite me! I am a Book Bimbo, which means I will talk to anyone and do anything.
I am a whiz on Zoom. Watch and see!
I am oodles of fun in person! (As long as you figure out how to get me there and back, as I have no sense of direction. See here.)
I live on the East Coast, so am on East Coast time, but have talked to folks as far away as Israel, the UK and the west coast of Canada. (If you don’t mind me a little sleepy and/or manic.)
This July, I plan to be in California - both North and South - so if you have anyone you’d like me to speak to, please reach out!
I would love to see you in Brooklyn on May 3 (you can also RSVP on Facebook!), but, if that doesn’t work, I’d love to see you on-screen (the May 3 event will also have a live-streaming option). Please give this Book Bimbo a brothel (and indulge my love of alliteration further)!
Ed. Note: The photo used to illustrate this post is of my daughter and her “Easy A” Halloween costume. It’s literary (“Easy A” is a modern re-telling of “The Scarlet Letter”), and it fits the book bimbo theme. Basically, when it comes to book talks, I’m easy.)
